The Ghana Immigration Service has cautioned applicants participating in its ongoing recruitment to disregard a fake message circulating on social media and other platforms. The bogus SMS claims some applicants have advanced to the next stage and must pay a fee to proceed.
The Immigration Service states clearly that no applicant advancements have been decided beyond the initial application stage, and no payments are being requested. “Management of the Ghana Immigration Service categorically states that this information is false,” the statement, dated December 15, notes.
The Service also emphasized that neither the Service nor the Ministry of the Interior has announced the start of the next recruitment phase. The application window remains open only until the official deadline of 19 December 2025, it added.
Applicants are urged to avoid engaging with individuals or groups behind the fraudulent messages and to beware of so-called “protocol” offers. Official updates will come only via approved channels: official SMS, verified email addresses, designated phone numbers, or by logging into the C-SERP recruitment portal.
