The Sabres' Winning Streak Continues: A Dominant Performance in New Jersey

The Buffalo Sabres are on a roll, extending their winning streak to six games with a 3-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center on Sunday. This impressive run is their longest since a six-game winning streak from December 13 to 31, 2022. The Sabres' record now stands at 17-14-4, a season-best three games above the .500 mark, and they are just three points behind Tampa Bay for third place in the Atlantic Division.
Josh Norris, who has been on fire since returning from injury, scored his fourth goal in nine games this season, erasing a 1-0 deficit during the second period. Norris has been a point-producing machine, recording at least one point in seven of eight games since his return. His only game without a point was a recent win over the Islanders, where he had a goal disallowed during regulation and later scored the shootout winner.
The Sabres took the lead late in the second period when Zach Benson executed a brilliant no-look shot, slipping it inside the near post during an odd-man rush. Peyton Krebs sealed the win late in the third period, scoring into an empty net for his first goal of the season. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, who started for the first time since December 8, made 26 saves, including a spectacular glove stop to deny Arseny Gritsyk on a 2-on-1 rush during the first period.
With one game remaining before the holiday break, the Sabres will face the Ottawa Senators at the Canadian Tire Centre on Tuesday. The team's next home game is scheduled for Saturday, December 27, against the Boston Bruins. Don't miss out on the action! Get your tickets now at [ticket link provided].
